We offer stud service through Artificial Insemination (AI) only through the International Canine Semen Bank (ICSB), our bank is located just outside Portland , OR , we will ship semen directly to your veterinarian's clinic. ICSB collects and certifies each shipment they send along with a sperm count.

AI has many advantages over “natural breeding”:

•   Location does not become a factor concerning stud choices.
•   Bitch owners do not incur the costs or risks associated with shipping their valuable breeding stock
•   It reduces the logistical nightmare of both determining the optimal breeding time, and having to rush to arrange travel plans for your dog.
•    AI can be performed by the vet of your choice under your observation

We require pedigree, appropriate hip clearance (OFA, PennHip or BVA), current CERF certificate or PRA-DNA certificate, and current health certificate. Please contact us for more details.

Easy as 1, 2, 3 ~ How does AI work?

Determine the time:  Progesterone testing is one of the more accurate methods in determining the time for insemination of your bitch.  Your veterinarian can help you with this.

Once it is determined that you bitch is ready, contact us for your delivery.  ICSB will then ship the specimen directly to your veterinarian in an appropriate storage container (containers will need to be returned).

The final step, insemination, is performed by your vet.  You will receive two deliveries 48 hours apart and have the insemination performed twice.
